James Hugh “Tommy” Greer Jr., 75, of Jemison, passed away on June 10 in Tuscaloosa.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1939, the son of the late James Hugh Greer Sr. and the late Lula Bell Hammaker.

He was a warehouse manager.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Greer of Jemison; daughters, Marsha Simmons (Joey) of Montevallo, Sandy “Bo” Robertson of Montevallo, Tina Simmons (Josh) of Montevallo, and Kim Coleman (Bruce) of Clanton; step-son, Chris Scott (Tiffany) of Calera; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Kocham of Alabaster, Linda Allen of Talladega and Katherine Cox of Houston, Texas; and a brother, Ronnie Greer of Alabaster.

He is preceded in death by his father, James H. Greer Sr.; mother, Lula Bell Greer; stepmother, Louise Greer; and a sister, Bonnie Faye Greer.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on June 12 from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. David Isbell and the Rev. Ricky Smith officiating.

Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jemison.

The family received friends one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
