24-Hour Challenge dirt bike race (photo gallery)

Perry Mountain Motorcycle Club held its 14th annual 24-Hour Challenge June 6-7 at Reynolds Pasture near Maplesville.
The race began at 10 a.m. on June 6 and ended at 10 a.m. June 7, giving the riders 24 hours to complete more laps than their opponents. The goal of the race is to complete the most laps, racing consecutively for 24 hours straight.
Along with trophies and bragging rights, the overall winners received a cash prize of $2,500; second place won $1,500; and third place won $1,000.
