Mary Jane Gibb, 60, of Jemison, passed away on May 9 at her residence.

She was born in Chilton County on Aug. 2, 1954, the daughter of the late Clarence E. Emfinger and the late Louise Blankenship Emfinger.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She is survived by her husband, John B. Gibb of Jemison; sons, John Matthew Gibb and Brady Wayne Gibb of Jemison; brothers, George Emfinger and David Emfinger; sister, Sheila Emfinger (Glenn) Gothard; 29 nieces and nephews; 59 great nieces and nephews; 37 great-great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her infant son, John Henry Ryan Gibb; parents, Clarence E. and Mary L. Emfinger; sisters, Imogene Erskin and Katheryn Avery and brothers, Jimmy Emfinger, Clarence R. Emfinger and Charles Emfinger.

Visitation was held May 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held May 13 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hand officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Community Cemetery in Jemison. Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton.
