Brenda Gail Anderson Hurd, 71, of Clanton, passed to our Lord on May 11.

She was born on Nov. 27, 1943, in Mobile, the daughter of the late Paul Anderson and the late Susie Pruitt Anderson.

She was a retired church secretary at Concord Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Jay Hurd of Clanton; daughter, Tricia Reaves of Calera; son, Spence Hurd of Redondo Beach, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Angela Hurd of Redondo Beach, Calif.; brother, Paul Anderson of Birmingham; sister-in-law, Vivian Anderson of Birmingham; granddaughters, Madeleine Reaves, Aurora Hurd and Miranda Reaves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sue Anderson and sister, Patricia Ann Anderson.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. May 14 at First Baptist Church of Clanton.

Services will be held May 14 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Clanton with the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton. No flowers, but donations may be made to New Day Orphanage, C/O First Baptist Church, 210 6th St. N. in Clanton. Martin Funeral Home directing.
