Willard Alton Binion, 72, of Jemison, passed away April 29 at his home.

He was born on July 20, 1942, in Bibb County, the son of the late Hollis Binion and the late Lela Mae Wood Binion.

He was a steel fabricator.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Binion of Jemison; daughter, Darleen Whitman of Jemison; son, Gary Binion (Helen) of Clanton; son, Allen Binion of Jemison; daughter, Tammy Binion; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Binion and Lela Mae Binion.

Funeral services will be held May 1 at 2 p.m. from the Calvary Hill Church of God in Jemison with the Rev. Willard Scott and the Rev. Alan Foster officiating.

Burial will follow at Thorsby Memory Gardens in Thorsby.

The family will receive friends on May 1 from 12-2 p.m. at the church.
