Donald J. Mitchell, 89, of Clanton, passed away April 29 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

He was born on Jan. 24, 1926, in Chilton County, the son of the late Jesse Mitchell and the late Polly Moates Mitchell.

He was a printer.

Surviving are wife, Frances Mitchell of Clanton; son, Ray (Brenda) Mitchell of Tallahassee, Fla.; granddaughters, Susan Cutright of Tallahassee, Fla, Amy (Donald) Butcher of Tallahassee, Fla.; great-grandsons, Matthew Butcher of Tallahassee, Fla., Brody Butcher of Tallahassee, Fla., Tyler Mitchell of Tallahassee, Fla.; great-granddaughter, Breanne Cutright of Tallahassee, Fla. and sister, Lillian McCall.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. May 2 at Temple Assembly of God.

Services will be held May 2 at 2 p.m. at Temple Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Nelson White and the Rev. Royce Ellison officiating.

Interment will follow in Temple Assembly of God Cemetery.
