Floyd Baptist Church
Bro. Lawrence’s message was taken from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 and titled “The Marks of a Believer.”
When you invest in a product, you expect to get service from it. God invested in us his only Son. God expects us to be good stewards and to do what he expects of us. Each Christian will one day give an account of his life to God, answering for what they did or did not do.
The first mark of a believer is giving. We must give our hearts to God. If we truly give our hearts to God, we will want our lives to follow the Bible; we will want to give to God our time, talents and tithes.
The second mark is forgiveness. As God forgave us of our sins, we should forgive others. Some people hold grudges against others, but the longer we hold the grudge, the bigger our burden becomes.
The third mark is compassionate witnessing. We must have a concern for the lost. That’s what the church is all about. We should go out and tell the world about Jesus.
Everyone is welcome to worship with us at Floyd.
