You just can’t get any more plain and simple than this week’s message from 1 John 3:16-24: Believe in Jesus and love one another. The end.
This was not a suggestion, but a commandment.

Prayer concerns: Cedar Grove church family, spoken and unspoken requests, those in hospitals and nursing homes.
Pastor Jeff Carroll’s text was taken from John 5: 19-30 titled “Three Verily Verilys.”
(1) God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we have the power over principalities and the temptation Satan brings against us brothers and sisters. It does away with people thinking they can stay in their old sinful lives and be saved.
The devil is a liar. When we become saved, we are changed and no longer want the old way, but become new in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to be Christians; we just need to do what God says, and he will never lead us astray. We must honor Jesus to honor God.
(2) “Most assuredly I say to you he who hears the word and believes in him who sent me has everlasting life and shall not pass into judgment, but has passed from death unto life.”
(3) “Most assuredly I say to you: ‘The hour is coming and now is when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. The hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come forth. Those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation.’”
God’s will is for us to be saved, go to heaven and spend eternity with him, but at the end of the day the choice is still ours to make. Don’t be left outside the gate. Are you saved, and if so, are you serving Jesus today?
