Myrtle Mims, 91, of Clanton, passed away April 27 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on March 16, 1924, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late J.S. Easterling and the late Crillia Lockhart Easterling.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her sons, Roger D. Mims (Evelyn) of Clanton, Danny A. Mims (Cheryl) of Clanton; daughters, Shirley Emerick of Jemison, Margie Ward (E.C.) of Clanton and Deborah Bean (Donnie) of Clanton; 17-grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Mims and daughter, Diane Wyatt.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. April 28 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held April 29 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Springs Methodist Church with the Rev. Heath Vines, the Rev. Don Vanderslice, the Rev. Jeff Carroll and the Rev. Shane Wyatt officiating.

Interment will follow in Refuge Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
