Bro. Mike Lawrence’s message about proclaiming the Word of God was taken from 1 Peter 1:23-25. We can all be preachers in effect when we proclaim God’s word.

The Word of God is powerful. The apostles were studying scriptures in the upper room of a house when the Holy Spirit came upon them. Afterwards, they preached the gospel in all the languages of the world. People heard, believed and were saved by the power of God’s word.

When Paul and Silas were thrown into jail, they began singing praises around midnight. The power of God’s word shook the jail. They were then freed, and they freed their jailer.

Everyone is invited to help Floyd celebrate its 100^th anniversary with a homecoming celebration on April 19. Singers will be The Revelators Quartet from north Alabama. The singing will begin at 10 a.m., the message will be given at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and more singing at 1:30 p.m.
