Ellen Forbes Allen Blankenship, age 51, of Clanton, passed away on April 10 in Verbena.

She was born in Birmingham on Nov. 2, 1963, the daughter of the late Andrew Forbes and Mary R. Duke Forbes.

She was a former automotive sales representative.

She is survived by daughter, Christy (Shane) Christofides of Verbena; daughter, Amy (Tony) Dennis of Prattville; grandchildren, Patrick Christofides, Zachary Jackson, Christen Christofides, Holly Jackson and Carter Dennis; mother, Rose Utley of Columbiana; sisters, Debbie (Steve) Hopwood of Chelsea, Martha (Lee) Mays of Marietta, Ga., Andrea (Sam) Shehadeh of Birmingham and Laurie (Tim) Carver of Wetumpka; brothers Bubba (Bridgette) Forbes of Odenville, Billy (Melanie) Forbes of Harvest, and Jason (Amber) Forbes of Gardendale; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Forbes.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 13, from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Chaplain Essie May officiating.

Burial will follow in the Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby.
