Dean Mims, 91, of Clanton, died March 4.

She was born on Wed., Jan. 23, 1924, in Randolph, the daughter of the late Ed McGee and the late Virgie Gore McGee. After her mother’s death, she was adopted by the Rev. Joe Gibson and his wife Etta Gibson.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are sons, Benny (Eloise) Mims of Clanton and Roger (Paula) Mims of Clanton; grandsons, Duane Mims and Todd (Chrystie) Mims;  granddaughters, April (Brian) Langston and Wendi (James) Maxwell;  10 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Houston Mims and grandson, Nathan Mims.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. March 6 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held March 7 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Popwell and the Rev. Rufus Pearson officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery, Clanton.
