Willie Thomas Vines Jr., 68, passed away Feb. 2.

He was born in Clanton on July 20, 1946, but was a long-time resident of Birmingham.

The owner of Vines Vending, Inc., Vines was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Thomas Vines Sr. and Betty Hannah Maxwell Vines.

Survivors include Vines’ wife of 49 years, Vicki Jolynn Edwards Vines; daughter, Melisa Lynn Vines Liddell; daughter, Bonnie Michelle Vines Ganser (Gregory Owen Ganser); son-in-law, Scott Liddell; granddaughters, Alexandria Lynn Liddell and Abigal Grace Liddell; brother, Denny Maxwell Vines (Brenda Vines) and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be one hour before the 1 p.m. Celebration of Vines’ life on Feb. 6, at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham.
