John Dwayne Connell

John Dwayne Connell, 50, a welder of Woodstock, passed away Jan. 25 at his mother’s home in Fairhope.
He was born on June 21, 1964, in Montgomery.
He was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover.
He is survived by his wife, Diana F. Connell of Woodstock; daughter, Mandy Seale of Vance; son, William Sledge Jr. (Ashlyn) of Vance; mother, Janet T. Langley of Fairhope; stepfather, Jesse Langley of Fairhope; stepmother, Lucretia Connell of Camden; brother, Joseph D. Connell of Fairhope; two grandchildren, Wallace C. Sledge and Maddie J. Sledge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dalton Wayne Connell.
Visitation was held at Thomaston Baptist Church on Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating.
Burial will be in the Thomaston Cemetery in Thomaston.
Active pallbearers will be John B. York, Tyrick Humphryes, Dale Aldridge, Steve Corbitt, Mark Langley, Russ Clements.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Mitchell Cancer Center and Springhill Hospice.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fairhope MCI at Mitchell Cancer Center, 188 Hospital Drive, Suite 400, Fairhope, AL 36532.
