The Chilton Christian Academy boys and girls basketball teams split a pair of games against Brooklane on Jan. 23.

The girls squad started strong, opening the game on a 16-2 run, closing out the first quarter with a 21-4 lead.

The Patriots continued the hot scoring streak in the second half, taking a 33-11 into halftime.

Brooklane closed the gap over the third quarter, but the Patriots held on for a 53-39 win.

Sarina Gutierrez led the Patriots scoring with 26 points, while Summer Voyles had 12 and Emily Davis had 10.

The boys squad didn’t fare as well, as they fell, 60-27.

Keaton Jones and Bradley Smith both finished with six points.
