Lula Dee Bearden

Lula Dee Bearden, 88, of Clanton, passed away Jan. 18 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
She was born on Feb. 24, 1926, in Perry County, the daughter of the late Charlton Rush and the late Satchie Dawson Rush.
Before retirement, she and her husband were owners/operators of W.O. Bearden Nursery in Plantersville for 40 years.
She was an active member of Plantersville Baptist Church where she faithfully served her Lord.
Affectionately known as Mama Dee, she was loved and will be missed by her family.
Surviving are son, Billy (Esther) Bearden of Lincoln; daughter, Cynthia Bearden (Randy) Tyus of Plantersville; daughter-in-law, Marilou Bearden; grandsons, Dr. Casey (Ferial) Bearden of Kingston Springs, Tenn., Cyrus (Cheryl) Bearden of Falkville, Allen (Tammy) Bearden, Sr. of Valley Grande, Clint (Nicole) Tyus of Lawley; granddaughter, Renee (Brian) Ousley of Clanton; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.O. Bearden; son, Bobby Bearden; sister, Sadie Harris; brothers, Ed and Grady Rush.
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Jan. 21 at Plantersville Baptist Church.
Services will be held Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. at Plantersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Stephens officiating.
Interment will follow in Plantersville Christian Cemetery, Plantersville.
