Joyce Brown Huett Hilyer, 84, of Jemison, passed away on Jan. 16 at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton.

She was born in Chilton County on March 6, 1930, the son of the late Kyle Felton Brown Sr. and the late Alma Marie Lucas Brown.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Janette Huett Bailey (Bill) of Jemison; son, Tom Huett (Nancy) of Thorsby; son, Steve Hilyer (Patsy) of Thorsby; grandchildren, Sandy Headley (Frank Cooper), Jeff Bailey (Dawn), Michael Bailey (Deisree), Stephanie Haile (Jeremy), Patrick Hilyer, and Karen Hilyer; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Betty Barnett of Pinson, Ruth Burnette of Thorsby, Eva Jean Chamberlin of Prattville, Virginia Collins (Charles) of Thorsby and Sylvia Cook of Sterrett; brothers, Kyle Brown (Naomi) Brown of Ashby and Glenn Brown (Ann) of Prattville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Huett; husband, Charlie Hilyer; granddaughter, Natalie Huett and parents, Felton and Alma Brown.

Funeral services were held Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and the Rev. Marc Hodges officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Jemison.
