Joanne Tyler Barron, 62, of Clanton, passed away suddenly on Jan. 2, 2015, at her residence.

She was born in Jefferson County on Aug. 23, 1952, the daughter of the late Charles Edward Tyler and the late Lois Jackson Tyler.

She was a beautician.

She is survived by her son, Larry Joe Smith of Clanton; step-daughter, Melissa Aldridge of Birmingham; grandchildren, Jade Smith and Zachary Aldridge; brother, Charles Dane Tyler (Debra) of Clanton; sister, Vickie Tyler Brown (Leslie) of Clanton and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lois Tyler.

Funeral services will be held on Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Bingham officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lawley.
