Fay Powell Bombino, 82, of Clanton, passed away July 9 at East Glenn Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Birmingham.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1931, in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late Wesley Leonard Powell and the late Pearl Elizabeth Glasscock Powell.
She was a floral designer and business owner by trade and possessed many creative talents.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Michelle Wood Bilboe (Ken); great-grandson, Michael Bilboe; great-granddaughter, Sydney Bilboe; brother, Otis Leonard Powell (Mickie); sister, Marian P. Powell (Wilbur); niece, Wendy Powell, Alicia Powell; nephews, Gene Powell, Frank Powell (Tammy) and a number of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Turner; daughter, Candis Turner Wood; mother, Pearl Glasscock Powell (Leonard Earl) Reddell; father, Wesley Leonard Powell; nephews, Marc Alan Powell and Wesley Powell.
Friends will be received from noon-1 p.m. July 12 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held July 12 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony D. Smitherman officiating.
Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
