Friendship Baptist Church

Our choir special was “Worthy of Worship” with trio parts by Bill Davis, John Byars and Dusty Duton.

Bro Ken Daniel’s message was from Mark 14:12. The title was “Remembering Jesus Faithfully.” The Last Supper is prepared. Jesus doesn’t expect us to be perfect; he expects us to do good ad always ask for help to do better.

The Lord’s Supper was observed.

In the evening service, we had a fifth Sunday singing and fellowship.

Prayer requests are for Gracie Bradford (a three-month-old who had heart surgery), those traveling and unspoken requests.

Christ Independent Methodist Church

Following the singing of hymns before our church service, the pastor’s sermon title was “Father, Son and Holy Spirit Trinity.” The background scripture was Romans 8:12-17.

Today was a day in which we praise and adore the infinity complex and unfathomable mystery of God the Trinity, God in three persons. In the being on one God, there are three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:10 tells us “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

God revealed himself as one to the Israelites: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one! (Deuteronomy 6:4) This is a significant religious truth because the surrounding nations worshipped many Gods and had fallen into idolatry, worshipping others beside the Creator.

Paul wrote in Galatians 4:4,”God sent forth his son, born of a woman, born under the law.” In the New Testament, God revealed that he is not only one but a family of persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are one in all.

Christ wants us to trust him. When you are called to deal with the pressures of the workplace, you may doubt your ability to cope, but there is an encourager beside you who wants you to know that you matter, so walk with confidence.

Believers are children and heirs of God. Romans 8:14, 16-17 says, “For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons on God.” “The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ—if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

When you pray, remember Mary Ann Carden, June Simms, Dustin Coogle and those traveling.
