Bro. Dusty Dutton sang two special Mother’s Day songs: “Hello Mama” and “In the Garden.” Bro. Daniel Ken’s sermon was from Samuel 1. Hannah vowed and prayed for a son. Mothers are such a very important part of our lives.
First Place will begin meeting in June every first and third Sunday. The gym will open for activities every Tuesday at 6 p.m. On May 17, there will be a youth trip to Jump 280 leaving the church at 5 p.m. The Senior Adult Luncheon will take place at Bro. Ken and Susan’s residence. The van will leave at 10:30 a.m.
On May 18, there will be a graduation tea for Lavern Conradi following the morning service in the fellowship hall. Also, there will be a reception for Mrs. Frankie Bowers at Chilton Baptist Association Office from 1:30-3p.m. Mineral Springs will host its third annual Men’s Ministry Event on May 31, 12-5 p.m.
Danny Singleton will be the guest speaker at the upcoming car show. It is free to the public, and there will be free hotdogs and drinks. The Brotherhood Fishing Trip and Ladies Beach Trip will be held on June 6-7. There will be a Benefit Revival at Mt. Carnel No. 2 Baptist with a message given by Rev. Robert Griffin on June 7. Jereme Wilroy, former player of the University of Alabama wheelchair basketball team, will be the guest speaker. There will also be special music by Justified. A love offering will be taken to benefit Jacob Alan Lee Jones. VBS will take place June 16-20 from 5:45 to 8:30. Commencement Sunday will be June 22. CBA Kid’s Camp will be July 21-25. Registration is due by June 4. Our largest yard sale trip will take place Aug. 7-10.
