Cedar Grove Church
What an awesome service we had at Cedar Grove today. God is good!
Pastor Jeff Carroll’s text came from Proverbs 31:26-28. His sermon title was “Spiritual Mother.”
Mothers who fear the Lord shall be praised. Mothers know to speak wisdom, for children need godly information. Mothers speak words of kindness. Women also need to know when to close their mouths. Mothers do not eat the bread of idleness, in other words, mothers should not be lazy. The impact a godly mother can have on her children is amazing. We owe our mothers so much we can never repay. Behind every good man is a great woman. The truth of the matter is that if you do not have Jesus in your life, you cannot be a godly woman or a good example to your children. Our choices affect not only our children but others around us.
For who can find a virtuous wife? Her worth is above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. She provides food for her household. She girds herself with strength and strengthens her arms. Her lamp does not go out by night. She reaches out her hand to the distaff, to the spindle; she reaches out to the poor and the needy. She is not afraid of snow, for all of her household is clothed with scarlet. She makes tapestry for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. A virtuous woman’s strength and honor are her clothing, and she shall rejoice in time to come. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised.
And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Love to all and have a blessed week. All are invited to join us at Cedar Grove to give praise honor and glory to Jesus Christ our Savior.
Announcements: Sunday night, May 18, will be our regular business meeting starting at 6 p.m.

Samaria Baptist Church
There is no better place to be on Mother’s Day than with family and friends in the Lord’s house. In dedication to our mothers, Barbara Collins read a poem to our mothers.
After the service, flowers were presented to all the mothers who came to church today. Our prayer concerns continue as we remember little Harper Coker, Ray and Phyliss Hardee, Hank and Salena Stoneback, Leone Patterson, Bro. Bobby, Paul Shearon, Walter Hudgins and Floyd Collins.
Bro. Aubrey Brown sang “It Took a Miracle.” Bro. Darrell Willis led our music today in Bro. Floyd’s absence.
Bro. Shane Wyatt’s message text began with 1 Kings 6:12-13. The goal of Satan has always been to destroy the family. Mothers play the most vital role in keeping the family unit together. Mothers have to take a stand for what they believe in. The blueprint for life and how to have peace and joy is in the Word of God.
In Mark 5:35-43, we read and understand what we must do in order to please God and live in peace. However, Satan puts doubt in our minds and tries to convince us that we are never going to measure up and might as well give up. It is imperative that we as parents turn our children and their needs over to our Lord Jesus Christ. God will comfort and promised that he would never leave us nor forsake us. Believe it or not, God is already aware of every need you have, and every problem and challenge that our children will face. But he wants us to ask in faith, believing that he will answer all our needs.
Psalms 46:1-10 tells us to be still and know that he is God. Nothing can come against us or our children that the power of God cannot handle.
Join us at Samaria for a spiritual blessing. Enjoy your week. Don’t forget to pray.
