Bethsalem Baptist Church

We were blessed with a great service. Bro. Cleve welcomed everyone and gave ministry opportunities. We had a VBS agent D3 review. There were 174 people present and 107 of those were children. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a great VBS, especially Janice Gray and Kin Edwards.

The Celebration Choir’s special was “When the Savior Reached Down.” Our pastor Bro. Justin Thomas gave the message, “The View from the Cross” from Luke 22:33-35 and 17:3-5.

The evening message as taken from Galatians 1:6-24 and titled “Salvation through Jesus Alone.”

Samaria Baptist Church

Wonderful blessings abound today at Samaria Baptist Church. Bro. Aubrey Brown sang “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.” Isn’t it amazing how God asks us to do things, but always empowers us with the ability with which to do the task? So it is our responsibility to be obedient to our Father and answer the call when he knocks on our heart’s door.

It’s not necessary to wait until something devastating happens in our lives to make us turn to God for what we need and what he wants us to do. So many times people just talk to Jesus when they need him. Of course we cry out in times of sorrow and grief, but also when we struggle financially and with day-to-day life choices.

Unconfessed secret sins hinder a Christian’s growth. He that covers sins and thinks he is getting away with something cannot prosper. God already knows what we are guilty of. We aren’t keeping anything hidden from God. Don’t let hidden sin overwhelm you with stress and misery. Have the peace of Jesus Christ by turning it all over to him. We can find the peace that only God can provide.

Matthew 11 says, “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. God says take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is easy and the burden is light.” Come and rest. Leave your cares and be filled with him. God makes it easy when we give it all to him. Let him carry your load. Leave it at the altar—all of it.
