A plea hearing for a former Chilton County Board of Education employee was postponed until May 15.
Jennifer Collins McNeill, 40, of Thorsby, was scheduled to appear before Chilton County Circuit Judge John Bush on Friday at 8 a.m. for a plea hearing, but the case was rescheduled.
McNeill’s lawyer was absent from court on Friday due to sickness.
McNeill, a former Thorsby High School teacher, was indicted by a grand jury in February on six counts of rape in the second degree and two counts of second-degree sodomy.
McNeill is accused of having sex with a teenage boy who is between the ages of 12 and 16, according to court records.
Her plea hearing is scheduled for May 15 at 8 a.m. at the Chilton County Courthouse.
