Kevin and Amy Nelson are excited to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kristin Marie Nelson, to Brandon Michael Williams, son of Mike and Sharon Williams.

Kristin is the granddaughter of Robert and Minnie Mae Childress and Wayne and Jean Nelson. She has one brother, Justin Nelson, and a sister-in-law, Valerie Stewart Nelson.

She is a graduate of Chilton County High School and the University of Alabama, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in communication and information sciences and will soon finish her Master of Science in marketing with a concentration in analytics. She will begin work with Regions Financial this summer.

Brandon is the grandson of Gilbert and Evelyn Green and Mary Williams and the late Noah Williams.

He is also a graduate of Chilton County High School and the University of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce and business administration. He is currently working for Alabama Power as the materials assistant at Gorgas Steam Plant.

The wedding ceremony will be held on May 17 at 6 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, and a reception will follow at Corner Park in Clanton.
