Our choir special was “Shout to the Lord,” with special solo parts by Doris Wyatt and Bill Davis. Bro. Ken Daniel’s message was from Matthew 5:13. The title was “Becoming Salty.” We add taste and flavor to common life.
The evening service continued in Revelation 13. In this passage, there are two beasts; one comes out of the sea, the other out of the earth; the first beast is politics, the second is religion.

Christ Independent Methodist Church
On this beautiful Sabbath Day, it was a treat driving to Sunday school and seeing the spring flowers in bloom, especially the trees in bloom. I am always impressed by trees in bloom. They stand there all year round; then one day, they are in bloom like a huge bouquet.
On Sunday, we had a visiting minister, the Rev. Jim Hosey and his wife Jeannine. Thank you for taking vacation time to minister to us. May God bless you both and keep you safe as you travel.
We also send thanks to the man upstairs for fellow absent church members. We remember our minister, Dr. Mac Stinson and his wife Glinda, Opal Miller, Dwight Sammons, Bobbie Sammons and Charles, Katrina Brown, Annelle Smith, Bobby Varden, Sally Adams, James Howard, and our pastoral family who is traveling.
March 9, the first Sunday of Lent, was our “Singspiration Service.” If you enjoy good gospel singing, this was your opportunity to feed your soul. Our visiting pastor and his wife were a great addition to our Sunday night service following the noonday service. We wish them safe travel.
Have a blessed week.
Join us for our One Dish Dinner coming up. We have a special treat for everyone. If you have not been asked to bring something, please bring a dessert.
March 25: Youth Saturday at 10 a.m.
March 26: One-Dish Dinner
