The 2014 Peach Festival T-shirts and Peach Pageant applications will be available at local businesses starting the week of March 31.
The shirts will be on sale at MorLyn’s Fine Jewelry and Gifts, Buck’s Clothing, Todd’s Produce, Peach Park and Hayes Drug.
They cost $14 each and come in adult and children’s sizes in yellow, brown, grey and purple.
Applications for the pageant will be available at all Chilton County schools, The Clanton Advertiser, The Chilton County News, Brenda’s Formal Wear and Frou Frou Frocks.
Orientation for the 2014 Peach Pageant will be held May 4 at 1:30 p.m. at Clanton First United Methodist Church.
Potential pageant contestants need to bring contracts and fact sheets, completed and signed, along with four wallet-size photos (headshots only and all the same pose), registration fee of $75 and a copy of their birth certificate.
Photos should be cut apart with the contestant’s name and sponsor’s name printed on the back of each photo.
Girls may also enter the photogenic contest, sign up to purchase pageant videos, sign up to have pictures taken during the pageant by Life Photography, and turn in any ad money they have collected for the program at orientation.
Photogenic forms will be available at orientation or at Shane Headley’s office, Country Financial, located at 207 Sixth St. N. in Clanton, through June 2.
Those who do not have all necessary materials ready to turn in by 3 p.m. at orientation May 4 will not be considered registered for the 2014 Peach Pageant.
The Little Miss Peach Pageant will be held June 21 at 6:30 p.m.; Young Miss Peach, June 23 at 6:30 p.m.; Junior Miss Peach, June 24 at 6:30 p.m.; and Miss Peach, June 26 at 6:30 p.m.
