One person sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon involving a Chilton County school bus on County Road 41 near the intersection with County Road 816 in Clanton.

The crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. just past Love’s Travel Stop, Chilton County Schools Transportation Supervisor Jason Griffin said.

No injuries were reported for the children or the driver on the bus, Griffin said.

About 30 children were on the bus at the time of the crash.

The sole individual in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, according to Alabama Department of Public Safety Public Information/Education Unit spokesman Sgt. Steve Jarrett.

Authorities did not release the individual’s identity.

Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.

On Wednesday, no information was available about how the crash occurred as the investigation continues.
