Maggie Julia Wyatt Davis, 83, of Wilsonville, passed away on Sept. 24 at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1930, in Hale County, the daughter of the late James Calvin Wyatt and the late Elizabeth Lucille Swartz Wyatt.
She was a former restaurant cook.
She is survived by son, Daniel Davis (Linda) of Moundville; daughter, Ann McDonald of Jemison; son, Jerry Davis of Steele; son, Bill Davis of Jemison; daughter, Faye Sorrow (Clarence) of Brierfield; daughter, Frances Scurlock (David) of Montevallo; daughter, Linda Davis (Joe Bullock) of Wilsonville; daughter, Ruby Allen (Paul) of Wilton; son, Ronnie Davis (Camellia) of Montevallo; son, Kenny Davis (Kathy) of Jemison; daughter, Margaret Smith (Roland) of Lawley; daughter, Betty Ellison (Benny) of Clanton; son, Rayburn Davis of Jemison; daughter, Bonnie Scurlock of Clanton; daughter, Mary Vance (Rickey) of Clanton; 53 grandchildren; 71 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; brother, Howard Wyatt of Tuscaloosa; brother, Riley Wyatt of Tuscaloosa; brother, Truman Wyatt of Tuscaloosa; and sister, Shelby O’Shaunnessy of Liberty, S.C.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Percy Davis; son, Carl David Davis; parents, James Calvin Wyatt and Elizabeth Lucille Wyatt; three brothers; and four stepsisters.
Visitation was held on Sept. 25 after 6:00pm at Archers Chapel M.P. Church in Jemison.
Funeral services will be held on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. from Archers Chapel Methodist Protestant Church with the Rev. Kiley Robinson and the Rev. George Caudle officiating.
Burial will follow in Liberty United Methodist Cemetery in Hale County with the Rev. Wayne Wyatt officiating.
