Going nowhere fast: Jemison’s Joseph Hall makes a tackle on Friday.
Jemison grinded out 269 rushing yards on Friday en route to a 39-13 win over Oak Grove.
The win improves the Panthers to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Class 4A, Region 4.
JHS led 39-0 in the third quarter before the visitors scored twice against the Panthers’ reserves.
Jemison struck first on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Nunn to Randy Satterfield, on the team’s first play from scrimmage on offense.
Nunn also connected with Kortlin Zeigler for a touchdown and finished completing 6-of-10 passes for 164 yards.
Keyshawn Jemison had two rushing touchdowns in the second quarter as the Panthers scored four times to end any doubt about the outcome before halftime.
Jimmy Archie recorded two rushing touchdowns in the second half for JHS and finished with a team-high 108 yards on 10 carries.
RaeQuane Jones paced the defense with 9.5 tackles. P.J. Blue recovered a fumble, and B.J. Kornegay intercepted a pass.
