Horace Randall “Dougan” Davis, 73, of Clanton, passed away on Aug. 30 at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton.
He was born in Chilton County on Dec. 16, 1939, the son of the late George Washington Davis and the late Lessie Vinzant Davis.
He was a former construction worker with Brassfield and Gorrie Construction Company.
He is survived by his son, Michael Davis (Tabitha) of Clanton; son, Waylon Davis of Clanton; son, Randall Davis of Greenwood, Ark.; grandson, Cayden Davis of Clanton; grandson, Taylor Davis of Greenwood, Ark; granddaughter, Brenda Davis of Clanton; granddaughter, Mikala Davis of Clanton and former spouse, Tonjia Davis of Fort Smith, Ark.
Visitation was held on Sept. 1 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.
Funeral services were on Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. David Farris officiating.
Burial followed in the Robinson Springs Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
