The Chilton County Courthouse and the county’s four municipalities will be closed for the Labor Day holiday.

All Chilton County Schools will be closed as well.

•Clanton City Hall will be closed Sept. 2, and garbage will be picked up. Residents are urged to put garbage outside Sunday night or Monday by 6 a.m.

•Thorsby Town Hall will be closed Sept. 2, and garbage will be picked up. Thorsby’s town council will meet Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. instead of Sept. 2.

•Jemison City Hall will be closed Sept. 2, and garbage will be picked up on Tuesday.

Jemison’s next scheduled city council meeting will be Monday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.

•Maplesville Town Hall will be closed Sept. 2. Garbage will be picked up on Tuesday and Thursday.

•Jefferson State Community College’s Chilton-Clanton Center will be closed Sept. 2.
