Jerry Houston Brasher,74, of Thorsby, passed away on Aug. 14 in Randolph.

He was born on April 31, 1939, in Birmingham, the son of the late Houston Y. Brasher and the late Velma Hollis Brasher.

He was a retired manager of Synergy/Coast Gas in Jemison.

Surviving are his son, Jerry D. Brasher (Tam) of Meridian, Miss.; daughter, Christy Pate (Dale) of Randolph; honorable daughter, Dana Smith of Jemison; five granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; brother-in-law, Douglas Ginn (Brenda) of Altoona.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ginn Brasher; parents, Houston and Velma Brasher and his sister, Beatrice Kendrick.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 15 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Highway 150 in Hoover. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 16 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in Mars Hills Cemetery.
