Jefferey Allen Ray, 42, of Jemison, passed away suddenly on June 27. He was born in Chilton County on June 28, 1970, the son of Bobby Allen Ray and Mary Sue Varden Ray.

He was a former plant operator for Superior Products.

He is survived by his son, Justin Ray; daughter, Lacy Ray; mother, Mary Sue Ray; father, Bobby Ray; and sister, Shannon Ray, all of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Pearl Varden and grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth Ray.

Visitation was held on June 30 after 5 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Jemison.

Funeral services were held on July 1 at 2 p.m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
