Cindy Golden Farley

Cindy Golden Farley, born on Oct. 27, 1964, passed into the complete and perfect care of our God on June 2. Always smiling, she was uplifting, loving and made everyone in her presence feel that love.
Cindy was educated at Advent Episcopal Day School, Vestavia Hills High School where she was a Rebelette and The University of Alabama in Birmingham where she excelled, winning highest scholastic honors and dance competitions, while working for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation fundraising.
After graduation, Cindy worked for AmSouth Bank 12 years. She was a member of Alter Guild at the Advent, only recently moving her membership to Trinity Church in Clanton.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Ellis Farley; grandparents, Ruth and Morris Traywick of Birmingham and Louise and W.D. Golden of Opelika.
Surviving is her daughter, Mary Drucilla Farley (Tyler); parents Durwood and Drucilla Golden, grandson, Stephen Ellis Farley II, all of Thorsby; aunts, Phyllis (Wyn) Powell, Nida (Jim) Godfrey both of Hoover and Susan Hampton of Opelika and several close cousins.
Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover.
