Charles Vastine Driver, 85, of Thorsby, passed away on May 28 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Jan. 24, 1928, in Chilton County, the son of the late Meady L. Driver and the late Minnie Scott Driver.

Surviving are his wife, Lougene Driver of Thorsby; daughters, Barbara Minor of Thorsby, Sandra Knox of Thorsby and Janice Dawson of Leeds; son, Charles Lynn Driver of Thorsby; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Meady L. and Minnie Driver.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. May 30 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held on May 31 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Jones, the Rev. Jerry Cleckler and the Rev. Tim Scott officiating.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby.
