Horace Reddy Cleckler

Horace Reddy Cleckler, 80, of Thorsby, passed away on May 24 at his residence.
He was born in Chilton County on June 27, 1932, the son of the late Ruben V. Cleckler and the late Mary Lee Collins Cleckler.
He was a retired correctional officer from Draper Prison.
He is survived by his wife, Gale Cleckler of Thorsby; daughter, Antionette Davidson (Toni) of Theodore; son, John “Johnny” Cleckler (Dianne) of Clanton; son, Joseph Cleckler (Tammy) of Clanton; son, Michael Cleckler (Gail) of Clanton; daughter, Marcanna Dennis (Jimmy) of Clanton; step-son, David Wilson (Jan) of Murry, Ky.; stepson, Don Wilson of Decatur, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and sister, Virginia Coshatt.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Bernadette Scott; parents, Ruben and Mary L. Cleckler and a brother, Lamar Cleckler.
Visitation was held on May 26 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held on May 27 at 10 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Brooks and the Rev. Robert Sandifer officiating.
Burial followed in the Cedar Grove Methodist Protestant Cemetery in Thorsby.
