Barbara Jeanette Chandler, 62, of Jemison, passed away on May 17 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

She was born in Clanton on Sept. 11, 1950, the daughter of the late William Lee Waldrop and the late Marjorie Ethel Wagoner Waldrop.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Richard Chandler of Jemison; son, Tim Chandler of Jemison and brother, Carey Waldrop of Jemison.

She is preceded in death by her father, William “Shorty” Waldrop, mother, Marjorie Waldrop and brother, Herbert Waldrop.

Funeral services will be held on May 20 at 2 p.m. from Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Kent and the Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.

Burial will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.

The family request no flowers, but memorials be made in her memory to Gideon’s International.
