Mary Jane Melton 59, of Lawley, passed away on April 7, 2013.

She was born on Sunday, Aug. 30, 1953 in Illinois, the daughter of the late Claude L. Smith and the late Patricia Miller Smith.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are husband, Jerry Melton of Lawley; sons, Steven (Candace) Lazar of Randolph, Chris (Kelly) Melton of Selma; daughter, Jeanie (Charlie) Sanders of Clanton; sister, Carol Anderson of Prentice, Wis.; brother, Mike Smith of Jemison; grandsons, Trace and Blaise Huey of Clanton; granddaughters, Reese Brasher of Clanton and Mary Karson Melton of Selma.

Memorial services will be held April 10 at 3 p.m. at Stanton Bible Methodist with the Rev. John Ingram officiating.
