Jimmy Howard Henderson Sr., 72, of Jemison passed away on April 5, 2013, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1941, in Chilton County, the son of the late Dewey George Henderson and the late Geneva B. Maudlin Henderson.
He retired from the city of Calera as a maintenance man.
He is survived by his daughter, Marie (Jeff) Dalyrmple of Clanton; daughter, Sandra (Glenn) Smith of Jemison; daughter, Sharon (Ronnie) Hayes of Chattanooga, Tenn.; son, Dale (Gerri) Henderson of Clanton; son, Michael (Mary) Henderson of Jemison; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a sister, Carolyn Moates of Jemison.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mable Henderson and son, Howard Henderson Jr.
Visitation was held on April 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held on April 7 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Williams officiating.
Burial followed in Pine Hill Cemetery in Jemison.
Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
