Samaria Baptist Church
What a beautiful day for the Lord to come back and claim his children!
This morning we were blessed by Floyd Collins singing “’Til the Storm Passes By.” Floyd always does a wonderful job with this song.
Our prayer needs: Lisa Shearon, Robin Mims, Mr. James Smith, Jeannie Mims, Clayton Spencer, our military, police and firemen.
Bro. Charles’ message came from Revelation 1:1-8. John was exiled on the Isle of Patmos in order for God to reveal to him the message of Revelation for the ages.
It reveals to us the complete truth of God. It was written for us to know what is coming.
It takes a lot of study and prayer for understanding, but it is worth the time and effort. In this wonderful book, the ultimate victory of Christ is revealed. Much opposition to you and I will continue until such time of Christ’s return and domination over the world of sin. Satan is dealing us fits while he can because even he knows that he can fight, but he will not win against the power of God. The Antichrist will be revealed during this time, and this will make Christ’s return even sweeter. It is a wonderful thing to believe and trust in the power of a loving God. He had John write this instructional book to inform us and warn the world of what is to come.
All of the gospel books talk about our Lord Jesus Christ as he suffered humiliation, but they also tell of the death, burial and resurrection of a loving Jesus in order that we may be able to see heaven when he returns again to take us home.
The Book of Revelation reveals his ultimate majesty. It explains how to be faithful and tells us the consequences of those who deny him. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last. He lived, was dead, and now he lives again. He will destroy the evil one when he returns to bring a new kingdom. Jesus is perfect; he is holy and without blemish. He holds the keys to heaven and hell. Satan and his angels will be cast into the lake of fire on the final day.
God cares about our suffering. He knows that we are human and have a propensity to sin and fail. The bottom line for our future rests in the Almighty Lord, Jesus Christ, and the fact that he will reign supreme. If we are on his side, we will reign with him forever and ever.
Nothing can keep us from the promises revealed in the Book of Revelation. We anticipate with great joy when the heavens shall open and we see the glorified son of God, coming to claim his own.
May God bless your week. We welcome you to join us at Samaria and receive a wonderful blessing every service. Our children are working with handbells and we are excited about the work they are doing. We want to share our joy over Lindsey Popwell’s decision to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Lindsey is the daughter of Tim and Connie Popwell, and has a little brother named Brady. And all God’s people said, “Amen!”
