Calvary Independent Baptist Church
We want to thank everyone who attended services this weekend.
Sunday morning’s service included a message from John 3:1-3 about being in spiritual darkness when having a heart of unbelief. Illumination comes only through a believing heart. When we believe from the heart, we are in a position to receive that which God has for us.
Sunday night’s message was taken from Philippians 3:13-14. It was about forgetting those things which are behind us and reaching forth toward the mark of the high calling of God. Looking back and holding onto past faults, or even past accomplishments, will slow us down, and maybe even prevent reaching future goals. We served an awesome God in 2012, and he has proven time and time again that he is abundantly able to supply our needs. Now, let’s go forward, trusting the Lord Jesus Christ fully in 2013 and giving him the praise he deserves.
We invite you to come and worship with us at Calvary this Sunday. We are located south of Clanton, past Dollar General, off U.S. Highway 31 on Fulmer Drive. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m., Children’s Church and adult worship service at 10 a.m., Sunday evening service at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday service at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call Pastor Oscar Mims at 205-755-9399.
