Shiloh Baptist Church
It was cold outside, but warm and friendly inside here at Shiloh. We thank our visitors for coming, and we invite you back any time.
Our call to worship was “His Name Is Wonderful,” followed by “Joy to the World,” “Tell Me the Story Of Jesus” and “Let Others See Jesus In You.” Bro. Ernest’s message was taken from John 3:18, Hebrews 6:13-20, John 3:36 and John 5:24: There is only one guarantee in life, no matter what: We are guaranteed salvation through Jesus Christ. If you are not sure if you are saved, then you are not. You always need to stay prayed up. You never know when your next breath may be your last. We are not promised tomorrow, however, we are promised eternal life, but that is our decision and no one can make it for us.
We would like to invite everyone to join us at Shiloh next Sunday, Jan. 6. Our guest speaker will be Jamey Coulter (The Skateboard Preacher.)
Beginning on Jan. 7, we will have Tai Chi classes for everyone from beginners to senior adults. Classes wil be held each Monday and Wednesday at 1 p.m. The class will be taught by Judy Headley. Cost is $2 per session.
On Saturday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Rev. Robert Griffin will lead in a study of “The Greatest Week in History: Luke’s Account of the Passion Week” at the Confederate Memorial Park in Marbury. If you are interested in the class, please be sure to register.
Calvary Independent Baptist Church
Calvary Independent Baptist Church wants to thank everyone that attended services this weekend. Sunday morning’s service included a message from John 2:18-25 on the need for the presence of God in every service.
We love to meet as a family of God’s children, yet it is not so much about us; it is all about a risen Lord and awesome Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sunday night’s service included a message from II Corinthians 5:14-21 on how the love of God is the motivating force that constrains, changes and commissions the born-again Christian.
We would love to invite you to worship and fellowship with us during any of our services. We are located south of Clanton, just past Dollar General, right off 31 on Fulmer Drive.
