Alfred “Sweet Pea” Johnson, 72, of Billingsley died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
He was born on Sunday, April 7, 1940, in Hale County, son of the late Alfred G. Johnson and the late Ruby Hoggle Johnson.
He was a truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Jayne D. Johnson of Billingsley; two daughters, Betty (Greg) Hughey of Akron, Mary (Harold) Moore of Tuscaloosa; grandchild, Travis (Lindsey) Hughey of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Katie and Alyssa Hughey of Akron; three sisters, Willie Pearl Moore of Greensboro, Freda Morris of Sayerville, Betty Ann (Larry) Collins of Sayerville; and brother, Joe (Glenda) Johnson of Moundville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ruby Johnson; brother-in-law, Robert Moore; and brother-in-law, Ottis Morris.
Friends will be received from 1–3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Billingsley Baptist Church.
Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 3 p.m. at Billingsley Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Vernon, the Rev. Bobby Davis and the Rev. Tom Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow in Big Springs Baptist Cemetery in Billingsley.
