Maxie David Reeves Sr., age 58 of Jemison, passed away on Dec. 7, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Montgomery on Dec. 13, 1953, the son of the late David Stewart Reeves and the late Hazel Jeanette Bullard Reeves.

He was an iron worker.

He is survived by: daughter, Misty Dawn Sutton of Alabaster; son, Maxie David Reeves Jr. of Clanton; son, Michael Casey Reeves of Jemison; granddaughters, Chelsie Renee Minor, Haley Ann Sutton and Hannah Grace Sutton; brother, Tony Reeves of Jemison; sister, Lisa Reeves Knight of Marbury; and sister, Robin Reeves Cook of Deatsville.

He is preceded in death by: father, David Stewart Reeves; mother, Hazel Jeanette Reeves; and brother, Casey Reeves.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 5–8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Edwards officiating.

Burial followed in Mt. Creek Baptist Cemetery in Marbury.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
