Bro. Gary Fant got the morning service started with “Love Lifted Me” and “Heaven’s Jubilee.” Bro. Dennis blessed us with a beautiful song titled “There’s a Record Book.” Bro. Dennis’ text came from Matthew 5:43-48. Jesus Christ wants us to trust God and put all of our confidence in him because we don’t live in a perfect world. We would not face temptations or hardships in our lives if we lived in a perfect world, but we’ve got to remember that we will go to a perfect world one day if we’re saved and our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. There are people in this world who look for happiness, but what they are doing is looking in all the wrong places. People don’t understand that if they will turn their lives over to Jesus Christ, he will give them peace, joy and happiness. The service ended with several coming to pray.
Bro. Gary Fant got the evening service started off with “I’m Too Near Home to Turn Back Now,” “I Want To Be Ready To Meet Him” and “Where Could I Go.” Bro. Dennis Smith and Wanda Chadwick blessed us with “Touring That City” and “One Day I Will.” Bro. Dennis’ text came from 2 Corinthians 4:1-7. God has called each of us into a ministry, and whatever that ministry is, we need to use it to the best of our ability. God gives us ministries to share with others because you never know what a difference our ministry will make in other people’s lives. We have to use what God has given us because if we don’t use our ministries for the glory of God, we need to know that God will take it from us and give it to someone that would use it.

Fall was in the air this morning, so nice and cool. Soon the leaves will be changing and showing off God’s beautiful array of colors.
After singing “There’s Power in the Blood,” we were dismissed by Bro. David Bullard in prayer to our Sunday School classes. The title of the lesson was “Defeat Through Drunkenness.” The scripture came from 1 Kings 20:10-21. The time: 901 B.C. Place: Damascus, the capital of Syria, and Samaria, the capital of Israel. Golden Text: Who hath woe? Who hath sorrow? Who has contentions? Who hath babbling? Who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Proverbs 23:29-30.
We welcome our visitors, glad to have Bro. Steve Price back with us today. He is almost a visitor and we hope he is back with us to stay.
Happy birthday to Missy Price, Jessica Collins and Gayla Popwell. Happy Anniversary to Earl and Bobbie Giles (53 years) Gary and Amelia Hubbard and Wendell and Charlotte Ray.
The songs before worship service: “Just a Little Talk with Jesus,” “He Set Me Free” and “Jesus Is Coming Soon.” Sister Sandra Carroll blessed us by singing “When Sin Met Grace.”Bro. Jeff Carroll preached a good sermon about “Sin.” His text came from Proverbs 13. You are either saved or lost.
The evening service began by Jordan Harvely leading “Won’t It Be Wonderful There” and Heaven’s Jubilee.” The choir blessed us with several songs, with Jordan featured in one of them.
The McDogual Family from Nashville, Tenn., were our guest singers. We didn’t know they were coming until that morning. If we could have let everyone know, they would have received a blessing. There were four children and I am guessing their ages to be 6, 8, 10 and 12. They could sing and harmonize so beautifully. Their dad, Greg, sang with them on a song or two, then he sang and shared his testimony about how he was saved. It was just wonderful. If you ever get a chance to hear them, be sure to go.
