Bethsalem

Our service on Aug. 12 opened with great spirit and singing of many songs and praises.

Zachary Martin and Brady Edwards gave a report on youth Vacation Bible School, Stay in Unity With Youth. Special music was presented by the Celebration Choir: “Had It Not Been.”

The message by Ryan Kirkland came from Hebrews 12:1-3, “Run the Race That is Set Before You.” The evening message by Ryan Kirkland was taken from Romans 1:16-17, “Being Unashameable.” It was a great message we should live by.

Mt. Springs

Service started Sunday, Aug. 12 with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “Come Unto Me,” “I’d Rather Be An Old Time Christian,” “I’m Going That Way” and “I Want to Know More About My Lord.”

Bro. Roger Cleckler gave a devotion from I Peter 1:3-6. There is a crown of righteousness reserved in heaven for us. Our faith is more precious than gold.

After Sunday School, Bro. Kenneth led the church in the hymn “Victory in Jesus,” and Mrs. Sheri Moates sang “I Need You More Today.”

Bro. Harlem Harris and his wife were with us this Sunday. Bro. Harris preached from Luke 22: 31-34. Sometimes, we have to lose or give up something very precious to us to gain from the Lord. You may go through something hard in your life, but you have to have confidence that God will see you through.

Sunday night’s service started with Bro. Kenneth leading the church in the hymns “Just A Little Talk With Jesus,” “Old Gospel Ship,” “Come and Dine,” and “Keep on the Firing Line.”

Bro. Kenneth Moates gave a devotion from Psalms 34:8. God has proven to us that he is good and trustworthy.

Bro. Sam Ross and Debbie Barnett sang “He’ll See You Through” and blessed the church with a wonderful song.

Bro. Harris preached from Psalms 107:1. God sees the good in every one of us. Please continue to remember Bro. Harris’ grandson, Jeremy in your prayers. We were so glad to have Bro. Harris and his wife with us.
