Rodney Dale Cooedy, 45, of Clanton died Thursday, July 19, 2012.

He was born on Monday, May 1, 1967 in Chilton County, son of James Arthur Cooedy and Mary Nell Smith Cooedy.

He was a carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, Sheila Ann Cooedy of Clanton; parents, James Arthur and Mary Nell Cooedy of Clanton; daughter, Jessica Layne Prince of Clanton; son, Nathan Anthony Prince of Clanton; brother, James Oneal Cooedy of Clanton; grandson, Hunter Kyle Chapman of Clanton; and special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Cooedy and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith.

Friends will be received from 5–8 p.m., Saturday, July 21 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Sunday, July 22 at 1 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Kent Dodson officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
