Eleanor Gertrude “Trudy” DeLoach

Eleanor Gertrude “Trudy” DeLoach, 78, of Clanton died Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

She was born on Monday, April 9, 1934, in Alabama, daughter of the late Bruno Kiesewetter and the late Efal Lyons Kiesewetter.

She was a retired elementary school teacher. She also taught music and piano for many years. She was the pianist at the Grace Fellowship Church. She and husband Lamar were music leader and pianist for the river church services from its beginning at Higgins Ferry.

Surviving are her son, Stephen Lamar DeLoach; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Wallace DeLoach; two grandsons, Stephen Corey DeLoach and Casey James DeLoach; niece, Erica Kiesewetter and Lynn Kiesewetter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar DeLoach; parents, Bruno and Efal Kiesewetter; brother, Herbert Kiesewetter.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at First United Methodist Church in Clanton.

Services will be held Saturday, May 12 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jake McCall, the Rev. Larry Anderson and Dr. Charles Carter officiating.
