Joseph Dewey “Joe” Scarbrough, age 56 of Jemison, passed away on May 5, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on March 26, 1956, in Prattville, the son of the late Joseph Benjamin Scarbrough and the late Dora Lee Broadhead Scarbrough.

He was an automotive mechanic.

He is survived by: daughter, Regan Lee Scarbrough of Jemison; brother, Charles (Ann) Calloway of the Coopers community; sister, Jenney Doss of Jemison; sister, Bonnie (Ricky) Yates of Clanton; sister, Sandra (Andy) Pair of Clanton; uncle, Marvin D. Broadhead of Opelika; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, along with a nephew, Johnathan Pair.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. George Williams and the Rev. Keith Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in the Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
